Ever wondered why those tuition and equipment testing articles never did much for your own game?

The good news is: It’s not your fault. The articles are to blame, in particular their methodology.

The equipment tests in particular use testing protocols that invariably involve comparing seemingly similar clubs yet with vastly differing shaft and club head specifications. Secondly, the use of human testers (or, indeed, mechanical robots) necessarily makes great assumptions about a golfer’s launch conditions that are usually irrelevant when it comes to advising other specific individuals.

The point being that your golf swing is unique - and your clubs should be, too. Buying either ‘off-the-shelf’, or from following tests and tips, could cost you as much as 30 yards on every drive or turn your best swings into poor results.

The Concept

Custom fitting your equipment takes many forms and processes but the end result is always to only include in your golf bag equipment that works for you and your swing. This could lead to the disappearance of long irons or types of wedges or even the “best” golf ball in the world.

4. The appliance of fitting technology to your game

The Process

One of our PGA Professionals will take your static measurements and use them and some low tech impact stickers to ascertain length, lie and head type.

Meanwhile digital technology such as Vector Pro Launch Monitor, GC 2 or SAMS Puttlab put meat on the bones of how you launch and spin the ball to back up the ball flight (All fittings are done in a real outdoor situation). Then, using systems from industry leaders such as Callaway, Titleist, Taylor Made, Cobra, Nike, Ping, Dave Hicks and Golfsmith we can adjust the clubs to optimize the most vital performance parameters and ensure you achieve the very best you can.
